Baked Kale Chips, You Won’t Miss Eating Potato Chips!
16 oz large bag / organic prewashed kale
Preheat oven to 300*. Lay kale on several kitchen towels for several hours to let the kale dry, toss once after an hour. Make sure your kale is completely dry! Lay out 3 cookie sheets and evenly divide the kale onto the sheets. Do not layer the kale, spread out in single layer. Drizzle no more than 4 teaspoons of olive oil over each cookie sheet of kale. With your hands rub the oil into the kale while tossing kale, again, keep kale in single layeron each cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes, open oven and lightly sprinkle with salt or salt substitute, then rotate sheet, bake another 10 minutes. At the end of the 10 minutes, open oven and check on chip to make sure crunchy. If not, bake a few more minutes. If this is your first time baking kale, be sure to watch so you don't burn your kale. If you overload your kale with olive oil they will come out soggy :(. This is a delicioius appetizer!
