Homemade Salsa, Good For The Heart


6 large tomatoes
1 baseball size onion, chopped
1 Tbsp olive oil
3 Tbsp garlic, chopped
1/3 cup red wine, I used pinot :)
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp bourbon paprika
1 Tbsp chives
1/2 cup chopped jalapenos, optional

Recipe Mix

Cut stem out of each tomato, now gently remove the pulp of each tomato, creating a tomato bowl. Set the tomato bowls to the side. Place all the pulp inside your food processor and the remaining ingredients. Push the pulse button intermittently to blend all ingredients. Do not pulse to the point where the mixture is completely pureed. Place your mixture into a large Tupperware bowl. On a chopping board, take one tomato bowl at a time and chop gently into large chunks. This will give you a chunkier salsa! Add the chopped tomato skins to the Tupperware bowl and mix. Chill until ready to serve. I serve with gluten-free crackers, carrots, radishes and celery.
